About Haledon
Haledon is a Passaic County borough that developed along the northern side of industrial Paterson. Its most important landmark is the Pietro and Maria Botto House, now a National Historic Landmark, remembered for its role in labor history during the Paterson silk strike. The Haledon School District serves younger students, and High Mountain rises nearby. Haledon feels dense, hilly, and working-class, with Paterson's industrial shadow, immigrant history, and small-borough New Jersey life all tightly packed together.
