Hampton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, situated just north of Towson. The park-like residential neighborhood is anchored by the Hampton National Historic Site, which preserves the historic Ridgely estate. Originating from a 1695 land grant and historically traversed by the Susquehannock trail that became Joppa Road, the community of approximately 5,400 is home to private institutions such as Notre Dame Preparatory School and Concordia Preparatory School.
