Harmon, ND

Harmon is a quiet rural community located about ten miles north of Mandan and fifteen miles northwest of Bismarck. With fewer than 300 residents, it offers a peaceful countryside feel with an easy commute to the capital metro area. While the original settlement took root along the Missouri River in the early 1900s, most modern homes sit up on the bluffs, giving residents wide-open views across the prairie and river valley.

Much of daily recreation revolves around nearby Harmon Lake, a favorite local spot featuring a swimming beach, boat ramps, fishing piers, and campgrounds. Trail lovers especially enjoy the 13-mile loop around the water, which draws hikers, runners, and mountain bikers throughout the warmer months.
