Harrison, ID

Perched on the eastern shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene, Harrison is a scenic waterfront town with around 250 residents and a relaxed, welcoming feel. Daily life centers on the water, especially in the warmer months when people spend afternoons at the marina, unwind on the sandy town beach, or grab an ice cream cone near the docks. Cyclists and walkers enjoy direct access to the paved 73-mile Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes, while the winding drive along Highway 97 offers some of the best lake views in northern Idaho.

In the late 1800s, Harrison grew as a busy hub for steamboats, sawmills, and the railroad. That heritage is still easy to see around town, from the historic Crane House Museum to the old railway corridor that now serves as the bike path.
