Harts, WV

Harts is a small, quiet community spread along the Guyandotte River in southern Lincoln County. With a population of around 600 people, the area includes small neighborhood clusters like Atenville and Ferrellsburg along Big Harts Creek. The landscape is defined by steep, forested hillsides and the winding river valley. West Virginia Route 10 runs directly through town, giving residents a straightforward drive northwest toward Huntington or southeast toward Chapmanville and Logan.

The town gets its name from Stephen Hart, an early settler and ginseng hunter who explored the creek in the early 1800s.
