Hasbrouck Heights is a compact, friendly Bergen County borough where everyday life revolves around the Boulevard. This lively main street runs right through the center of town, lined with local pizzerias, coffee spots, bakeries, small businesses, and the public library. Most residential side streets branch off within walking distance of the strip, featuring tidy front lawns and closely knit single-family homes. Rail commuters can also catch the train into the city via nearby stations on the Pascack Valley Line in neighboring Teterboro or Wood-Ridge. On weekends, the Boulevard hosts annual street fairs and seasonal parades, while local parks like Woodland Park and Miers Park offer playgrounds, sports fields, and pickleball courts. Because Teterboro Airport sits right next door, plane traffic is a regular part of local skies, and overhead sound levels can vary quite a bit from one side of town to the other.
