About Haslett
Haslett is a census-designated place northeast of Lansing, mostly served by Haslett Public Schools. It is named for James and Sarah Haslett, who founded the Nemoka Spiritualist Camp on the shore of Pine Lake, now commonly known as Lake Lansing. The area also had Lake Lansing Amusement Park, giving it a recreational history beyond its present suburban role. Today Haslett blends lake access, schools, residential neighborhoods, and quick access to Michigan State University and the Lansing region.
