About Hastings

Hastings is the county seat and only city in Barry County, Michigan, situated along the Thornapple River. Established on land purchased from Detroit banker Eurotas Hastings and hosting an annual spring jazz festival, the community of approximately 7,520 is served by the Hastings Area School System for public primary and secondary education.
