Hazleton, PA

Hazleton is a Luzerne County city in northeastern Pennsylvania's coal region. Long before industrial growth, the Nescopeck path connected the Delaware River forks to Nescopeck Creek through this broader landscape. Hazleton later became a hard-coal city, and that anthracite history still shapes its streets, neighborhoods, and regional identity. The city has also become one of Pennsylvania's notable Latino-majority communities, giving it a newer cultural layer. Hazleton feels like a mountain coal-region city that has kept changing without losing its working-class core.
