About Headland

Headland is the largest city in Henry County, Alabama, located in the southwest corner of the county within the Dothan metropolitan area. Founded in 1871 by James Joshua Head as "Head's Land," the community has a rich history that includes hosting the Headland Dixie Runners minor league baseball team in the early 1950s. Today the city is a residential, family-oriented residential community served by the Henry County Public Schools system.
