About Heflin
Heflin is the county seat of Cleburne County, Alabama, located about fifteen miles west of the Georgia state line. Established in 1882 as a railroad station along the line from Atlanta, the city is situated approximately halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta along Interstate 20. Public education is provided by the Cleburne County School District. The community features a mix of manufacturing and local commerce, and is also home to the Hollis Speedway, a popular local dirt track racing venue.
