About Hegins

Hegins is a Schuylkill County census-designated place at the meeting of Pennsylvania Routes 25 and 125, near Valley View. The surrounding township was settled in the eighteenth century and sits in eastern Pennsylvania, but Hegins itself is easiest to read from the roads: Route 25 runs east-west, Route 125 comes through the village, and the Tri-Valley School District serves the area. Harrisburg is about 50 miles southwest. Hegins is a small Schuylkill County crossroads with a township name that carries farther than the CDP boundary.
