About Henderson

Henderson is a city and the county seat of Chester County, Tennessee, situated west of the South Fork Forked Deer River. Platted in 1857 following the arrival of the railroad and home to Freed-Hardeman University, the community of approximately 6,411 is served by the Chester County School District, which operates Chester County High School.
