Herminie, PA

Herminie is a quiet, close-knit community tucked away in Westmoreland County's Sewickley Township, about thirty miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Like many towns across western Pennsylvania, it began as a late-nineteenth-century coal patch founded by the Ocean Coal Company and named after Herminie Berwind, the wife of the company's founder.
