Hernando, FL

Hernando is a census-designated place in Citrus County, Florida, situated in the Homosassa Springs metropolitan area. Formerly an incorporated city before disincorporation in the 1970s, the community of approximately 9,299 is bordered on the east by the scenic Tsala Apopka Lake. Public education is served by the Citrus County Schools district.
