About Highland

Highland is a scenic hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Lloyd, Ulster County, New York. Positioned on the west bank of the Hudson River directly across from Poughkeepsie, the community of approximately 6,400 is connected to the east side by the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the historic Walkway over the Hudson state park. Local public education is administered by the Highland Central School District.
