Hillsboro Beach, FL

Hillsboro Beach is a quiet coastal town set on a slender barrier island in northern Broward County. With roughly 2,000 residents, the town sits between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west. At the southern end, the historic Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse marks the entrance to the ocean, giving the area a classic nautical feel and spectacular water views all around.

Most of the town stretches along Florida State Road A1A, known locally as the Hillsboro Mile or Millionaires Mile. Here you will find upscale condominiums and grand single-family estates, many featuring ocean views out front and private boat docks on the Intracoastal out back. Because the town is purely residential, daily errands, dining, and shopping are typically handled in neighboring Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, or Pompano Beach.
