Hiltons, VA

Hiltons is a quiet rural community in Scott County, tucked into the scenic valley between Clinch Mountain and Pine Ridge in southwest Virginia. With only a few hundred residents, it has the slow, tight-knit feel of classic Appalachia, surrounded by rolling pastures and forested ridges. While life here is thoroughly peaceful and secluded, the Tennessee state line and the city conveniences of Kingsport and the Tri-Cities area are only a short drive down the road.

Just east along the valley sits the Carter Family Fold, where locals and visitors gather on Saturday nights for acoustic bluegrass, old-time string bands, and flatfoot dancing. Between its deep musical roots, historic landmarks like the Fulkerson-Hilton House, and quiet country roads, Hiltons offers an easygoing lifestyle steeped in Appalachian heritage.
