About Hingham
Hingham is a historic South Shore town known for colonial architecture, harbor scenery, and a deep New England past. The land was deeded to English settlers by Wampanoag sachem Wompatuck in the 1600s, and the town still carries that long-settled feel. Hingham has a picturesque town center, access to Boston Harbor, Wompatuck State Park, and ferry service toward Boston. It feels affluent and historic, but also outdoorsy and coastal, with old houses and wooded trails close together.
