About Hobe Sound

Hobe Sound is a Martin County census-designated place on Florida's Atlantic coast, between Port Salerno and Jupiter Island. Its name comes from a Jaega village, later anglicized as Hobe Sound, giving the place deeper roots than its beach-town surface suggests. Hobe Sound Bible College is one local institution, while the broader setting includes coastal preserves, wealthy enclaves, and access to both Stuart and West Palm Beach. It feels quieter and more natural than much of southeast Florida.
