About Holiday Valley
Holiday Valley is a census-designated place in Mad River Township, Clark County, Ohio, on the southwest side of the township. The 2020 census counted 1,480 residents. This is the Ohio locality, not the ski destination in New York: it sits within the Springfield metropolitan area and shares a road-and-school network with nearby Enon, Green Meadows, and Bath Township. The CDP designation dates to 1990, but the ground-level story is a residential subdivision pattern spread along local roads with no traditional incorporated town center.
Mad River Township handles the local governmental layer, and a 2025 county public-works project resurfaced Wescott Avenue, Dryden Street, and Hahn Avenue in the Holiday Valley subdivision. Those road names make the place’s everyday scale clearer than a county map does: houses, neighborhood streets, and trips out to Enon or Springfield. Students are served by Greenon Local School District, whose wider system links the township’s communities. There is no separate mayor’s office or downtown business strip to define Holiday Valley; its character comes from the subdivision, its school district, and its position on the edge of Clark County’s Springfield-area network.
