Holland, MA

Tucked into the wooded hills of southeastern Hampden County right along the Connecticut border, Holland is a quiet country town with around 2,600 residents. The heart of the community is a small, traditional village center where you will find the town hall, public library, elementary school, and local church all within easy reach. Surrounded by dense forests, the Quinebaug River, and the scenic slopes of Rattlesnake Mountain, the area offers a relaxed, rural pace with plenty of open space.

Waterfront living and outdoor recreation are huge draws for locals. Hamilton Reservoir spans hundreds of acres and is popular for boating, kayaking, and fishing, while Holland Pond and Lake Siog Park offer a sandy town beach and shaded picnic spots. For hikers, quiet trails wind through Quinebaug Woods and the surrounding conservation land. Families are served locally by Holland Elementary for preschool through sixth grade, after which older students attend the Tantasqua Regional district in neighboring Sturbridge.
