Hollow Creek, KY

Hollow Creek is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, part of the Louisville-area map about twelve miles southeast of downtown. The 2020 census counted 799 residents. The city address is on Cross Creek Boulevard, where local government includes a commission, clerk, treasurer, city manager, public works director, and police chief. Nearby Louisville and Jefferson County supply the larger network of schools, shopping, employment, libraries, and parks, while Hollow Creek's own government handles the small boundary's local business.

Hollow Creek was incorporated in 1971 and moved through Kentucky's city-class system as the municipality grew; a 2000 legislative act transferred it from sixth- to fifth-class status.
