Holualoa, HI

Holualoa is a North Kona community on the island of Hawaii, upslope from the Pacific and south of Kailua-Kona. It is small and rural-residential, with coffee country, winding roads, and ocean views doing more to define the place than a conventional downtown. The community sits near Honalo and Kahaluu-Keauhou, with public schools run by the Hawaii Department of Education. Holualoa feels like a quieter Kona hillside place, connected to agriculture, local art, and the everyday life above the coast.
