About Homer
Homer is a Kenai Peninsula city about 218 miles southwest of Anchorage, famously nicknamed the end of the road. The Homer Spit, Kachemak Bay, the harbor, and the surrounding marine habitat define the place as much as the town grid does. It has deep Alutiiq history, a working fishing identity, the Pratt Museum, Kachemak Bay Campus, and the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival. Homer feels like a small Alaska arts-and-fishing town at the edge of spectacular water.
