Hondo, TX

Hondo is a city and the county seat of Medina County, Texas, situated forty miles west of downtown San Antonio. Established as an agricultural hub, the community of approximately 8,713 was the site of two historic Newton Gang bank robberies in the 1920s. Public education is served by the Hondo Independent School District.
