About Honesdale

Honesdale is a borough and the county seat of Wayne County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Lackawaxen River. Developed in the nineteenth century as the starting terminus for the Delaware and Hudson Canal to ship coal to New York, the historic community of approximately 4,467 is served by the Wayne Highlands School District locally.
