Hooper, CO

Hooper is a quiet rural community nestled in the heart of Colorado's vast San Luis Valley. Originally founded in the late nineteenth century as a railroad stop, the town developed alongside the valley's booming potato and alfalfa farms. Today, daily life moves at an easy pace, surrounded by expansive farm fields, sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and some of the clearest night skies in the state.

Great Sand Dunes National Park is just a short drive to the east, while Alamosa lies about twenty minutes south to provide everyday essentials like grocery stores, schools, and medical care.
