Hop Bottom, PA

Hop Bottom is a tiny, peaceful borough tucked into the rolling green hills of Susquehanna County. Sitting along Route 11 about ten minutes west of Interstate 81, the town takes its memorable name from the wild hops that once grew along Hop Bottom Creek. It originally developed around a busy railroad stop in the late nineteenth century, which left the community with a compact, historic center surrounded by open countryside.
