Hopkins, MI

Hopkins, once called Hopkins Station, is a village within Hopkins Township in Allegan County. John Hoffmaster settled here in 1854, and the post office opened that same year, giving the village an early civic foothold before its present charter. The village lies within the Rabbit River, Miller Creek, and Bear Creek watersheds, with farm country and small-town streets meeting around the Allegan County landscape in practice.

Hopkins still has its own council, village hall, fire board, district library board, downtown development authority, planning commission, and recreation planning.
