About Horace

Named after 19th-century editor Horace Greeley, Horace is a quiet, close-knit farming community in western Kansas. The town got its start in the 1880s as a stop along the Missouri Pacific Railroad, and towering grain elevators still define the skyline today. Located just a couple of minutes from Tribune, the county seat, it offers a peaceful rural setting where neighbors know one another and easily share nearby schools, shops, and community events.
