About Humbird
Humbird is an unincorporated census-designated place in Mentor in Clark County, Wisconsin, United States. The 2020 census counted 254 residents. Humbird is located on U.S. Route 12, north-northwest of Merrillan. Humbird was founded by Jacob Humbird, who was born at Ligonier, Pennsylvania on July 31, 1811. That mix gives Humbird a clear local shape within Wisconsin, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. The second of five children of Solomon and Susan Humbert, Jacob was married to Eleanor McKee in 1835. Humbird contains a pond, a bluff, farm land, recreational land, and several ATV trails.
