Hundred, WV

Hundred is a quiet rural community in Wetzel County, situated along Route 250 near the West Virginia-Pennsylvania border. With around 250 residents, it has the kind of small-town atmosphere where neighbors know each other by name. The town got its unusual name from Henry and Hannah Church, a pioneer couple who both lived past 100 years old, prompting railroad workers to nickname Henry "Old Hundred." Today, it remains a calm, historic settlement surrounded by wooded hills and farmland.
