Hunter Creek is a census-designated place in northern Gila County, Arizona, situated in Tonto National Forest and bordered to the north by the Christopher Creek CDP, with Arizona State Route 260 forming the boundary between the two communities. With a population of 48 at the 2010 census, the community is located near the Mogollon Rim in the ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forest of central Arizona. Students attend Payson High School through the Payson Unified School District.
