Hunter, MO

Hunter is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Carter County, Missouri, United States. The 2020 census counted 95 residents. Hunter is located on State Highway 21, approximately 4 miles north of Grandin, and is about 3 miles east of the Current River. The post office has closed and its mail now comes from either Grandin or Ellsinore. In Hunter, history and present-day settings sit close enough to belong to the same local picture.
