About Hyde Park
Hyde Park is a small Santa Fe County CDP at the point where the city’s northeastern edge meets Santa Fe National Forest. Little Tesuque Creek marks the north side, while NM 475 runs through the community toward downtown Santa Fe and climbs northeast to Ski Santa Fe in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. That road makes the place easy to picture: town-side streets at one end, forest and mountain country at the other. Hyde Park is served by Santa Fe Public Schools, but the strongest local cue is geography. The local shorthand is Santa Fe’s forest-side edge, organized around NM 475 and the road up into the mountains.
