Ida, LA

Tucked into the northern tip of Caddo Parish right near the Arkansas line, Ida is a quiet, close-knit village with convenient highway access along US 71 and I-49. What began as a late-nineteenth-century railroad and sawmill crossroads has held onto its easygoing, rural character. It offers plenty of open space, friendly neighbors, and a peaceful country atmosphere in northwestern Louisiana.

A lot of local history is preserved downtown on East Magnolia Avenue, where the historic post office now houses a museum honoring Ida-born World War II fighter ace Capt. Fletcher E. Adams. Along with landmarks like Munnerlyn Chapel and nearby North Caddo schools, the community has strong roots and a welcoming feel. Its spot along the Shreveport-Texarkana corridor also gives residents an easy commute to larger cities for work, shopping, and dining.
