Iliamna, AK

Iliamna is a small census-designated place in the Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska, situated on the northwest shore of Iliamna Lake. The settlement is bordered to the west by the Newhalen River and to the south by the city of Newhalen. Tracing its name to an Athabaskan village originally located thirty-five miles to the east, Iliamna has a population of around one hundred residents and serves as a local hub for fishing and wilderness expeditions.
