Imperial is a census-designated place in North Fayette and Findlay townships, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Positioned along Montour Run near the Pittsburgh International Airport, the community of approximately 3,001 was established as a coal mining town in 1879 by the Imperial Coal Company and is served by the West Allegheny School District locally.
