Indian Springs, NV

Indian Springs is a Clark County CDP and unincorporated town of 912 residents in the 2020 census, set on U.S. 95 beside Creech Air Force Base about 50 miles northwest of Las Vegas. The military airfield began as Indian Springs Auxiliary Field, built soon after Pearl Harbor for Army Air Forces training, and the base later became Creech. That history still defines the local map: highway, base, desert, and a small settlement. The community has a public library branch of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, while Creech brings military work and services next door.

The base's 2,409 acres run along the same U.S. 95 corridor, and the original Indian Springs field remains part of the military story. The long desert distances make that shared highway-and-base setting important to how the town connects with the rest of Clark County. Indian Springs is a desert highway community whose closest major institution is a working Air Force installation, with the town's civilian services gathered along the road.
