About Indianola

Indianola is the county seat of Warren County, south of Des Moines. Founded in 1849, it has a classic courthouse-town role, but its most memorable modern calling card is ballooning. The city hosts the National Balloon Classic and is home to the National Balloon Museum, giving summer skies a real local signature.
