Industry, CA

Located in the eastern San Gabriel Valley, Industry is a distinct city dedicated almost entirely to business and commerce. Tens of thousands of people commute here each day for manufacturing, logistics, and corporate jobs, while only a couple hundred residents live within city boundaries. The area has deep historic roots dating back to 1840s rancho land grants, still preserved at the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum, but the city was incorporated in the 1950s to serve as an economic hub for the region.

With nearly all the land zoned for business, housing inside city limits is limited to a handful of older homes and small pockets near City Hall. Most people who work in Industry settle in neighboring communities like Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, or West Covina. Outside of work, the area attracts visitors for its retail centers, dining spots, and the hilltop Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort.
