About Industry

Industry is a borough in western Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River. The 2020 census counted 1,838, residents. Industry is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The borough was organized as the Township of Industry in 1856 from an electoral district named Industry that comprised portions of Ohio Township and Brighton Township. A small portion of Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 173 is located in Industry. The through line in Industry is the way its history and present-day settings remain visible on the same map. Industry makes the most sense through those concrete details, with its history still visible in the settings people use today. The township incorporated as a borough in 1960. Pennsylvania Route 68 is the main road through the borough, leading west into Midland and east to Beaver. The community of Merrill was located in the southeastern part of the borough, along the Ohio River.
