Iowa Colony, TX

Iowa Colony is a growing Brazoria County city on Texas State Highway 288, south of Pearland. It was founded in 1908 by the Emigration Land Company of Des Moines and named for Iowans who helped establish the settlement. Students in residential areas attend Alvin Independent School District, and Alvin Community College serves the broader area.
