Iowa Colony, TX

Iowa Colony sits about 22 miles south of downtown Houston, where quiet Texas farmland meets rapid suburban growth. Originally founded by Midwestern settlers in the early 1900s, the town spent decades as a peaceful farming community surrounded by open pastures. Over the past several years, master-planned developments like Meridiana, Sierra Vista, and Sterling Lakes have brought fresh energy to the area. Today, modern subdivisions, neighborhood lakes, and scenic green spaces line the Highway 288 corridor, giving newcomers plenty of room to spread out.
