Itmann, WV

Tucked along the Guyandotte River in Wyoming County, West Virginia, Itmann is a tiny, quiet community of around 250 residents. It was originally built as a coal town in the early 1900s, centered entirely around its striking stone company store. Handcrafted by Italian stonemasons in the 1920s, that historic building once held everything the community needed under one roof, from the doctor's office and post office to the payroll window. Today, Itmann is a peaceful, slow-paced spot surrounded by steep hills and steeped in local history.
