Ixonia is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, situated between Watertown and Oconomowoc. Developed in the mid-nineteenth century following the division of the historic town of Union, the residential community of approximately 2,684 is served by the Oconomowoc Area School District, which operates Ixonia Elementary School for local education.
