Ixonia, WI

Ixonia is a peaceful rural community in southeastern Wisconsin, sitting conveniently right between Watertown and Oconomowoc. Living here means plenty of elbow room, quiet country roads, and a classic small-town feel. It also has one of the state's best local origin stories: back in 1846, residents who couldn't agree on a name decided to draw letters randomly from a hat, making Ixonia the only town of its kind in Wisconsin.
