Jackson, SC

Jackson is an Aiken County town two miles northeast of the Savannah River, in the Augusta metro and close to the Savannah River Site. The 2020 census counted 1,521 residents. The town's geography is a study in contrasts: pine-country roads, a major river, and one of the nation's most consequential federal sites all sit within the same local orbit. Silver Bluff, a nearby historic property, carries an older layer of the area's story. The Savannah River is close enough to shape the tree line, the roads, and the way the town looks south.
