About Jamestown
Jamestown is a city and the county seat of Stutsman County, North Dakota, situated at the confluence of the James River and Pipestem Creek. Founded in 1883 and home to the University of Jamestown, the community of approximately 15,800 features the National Buffalo Museum, which preserves the heritage of the American bison. Outdoor recreation is centered around the Jamestown Reservoir, and the town's early history is preserved at the historic Fort Seward site.
