During the sale, roadside tables and established vendor spots multiply along York Highway, giving the route a temporary local rhythm that is recognizable before the market reaches the courthouse or school. The 127 Sale’s headquarters are in Jamestown, keeping the event tied to the county-seat calendar. Jamestown is close to Big South Fork, Pickett State Park, and Dale Hollow Lake, so county government, school routines, retail, and outdoor recreation share the same plateau crossroads. The city’s most local combination is a courthouse spring, a York school, and a highway that becomes a market once a year.
