About Jasper

Jasper is a town and the county seat of Marion County, Tennessee, situated in the southwestern Sequatchie Valley. Established in 1820 on land leased from Cherokee chief's daughter Betsy Pack and named for military hero William Jasper, the community of approximately 3,612 is served by the Marion County Schools district locally.
